Children’s Picture Book and Illustration Contest
Welcome to Artistic Design Service, Inc.’s Children’s Picture Book and Illustration Contest.
Writing and illustration contests provide huge opportunities for a writer – especially those having trouble “breaking in” to the publishing business. A resume with a contest win is as valuable as publishing clips. Contests provide prizes, and even publication.
Artistic Design Service, Inc. is offering a Children’s Book Writing and Illustration Contest. There is a $25.00 entry fee for each contest and one entry per category is allowed. Artists may enter both contests if they desire, and you must be a United States citizen to enter.

All entries must be received by March 31, 2011. Winners will be announced April 15, 2011. Prizes will be awarded within 30 days of close of contest.
CATEGORY 1: Children’s Picture Book Contest
CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK CONTEST PRIZES:
1st Place: $500.00 (U.S.) plus a trophy and a book contract
2nd Place: $100.00 (U.S.)
3rd Place: $50.00 (U.S.)
CHILDREN’S PICTURE BOOK CONTEST RULES:
Children’s Picture Book Contest submissions shall consist of one children’s picture book manuscript formatted in storyboard layout for 20-22 illustrated pages. This submission can be about any theme and we are looking for a variety of themes and topics on children’s books with a unique design.
CATEGORY 2: Children’s Fantasy Forest Book Cover Contest
CHILDREN’S FANTASY FOREST BOOK COVER CONTEST PRIZES:
1st Place: $500.00 (U.S.) plus a trophy and a book contract
2nd Place: $100.00 (U.S.)
3rd Place: $50.00 (U.S.)
Artistic Design Service, Inc. is looking for detailed fantasy forest illustrations for an upcoming children’s picture book.
CATEGORY 3: Young Adult Fantasy Forest Book Cover Contest
YOUNG ADULT FANTASY BOOK COVER CONTEST PRIZES:
1st Place: $500.00 (U.S.) plus a trophy and a book contract
2nd Place: $100.00 (U.S.)
3rd Place: $50.00 (U.S.)
Artistic Design Service, Inc. is looking for a unique detailed cover and 10 inside illustrations for forest characters that would include lots of imagination and rich, colorful portrayals.
CATEGORY 4: Children’s Cover Art Contest
CHILDREN’S COVER ART CONTEST PRIZES:
1st Place: $200.00 (U.S.) plus a trophy and a possible book contract
2nd Place: $50.00 (U.S.)
3rd Place: $30.00 (U.S.)
CHILDREN’S COVER ART CONTEST RULES:
Children’s Cover Art Contest submissions shall consist of one (1) original 8×10-inch, full-color front cover illustration and one (1) original 8×10-inch, full-color back cover illustration for a children’s picture book.
